The dike bordering the nature reserve De Eilandspolder ends at Farmhouse De Vrijhof, where it continues as a grassy dike. There is no traffic here, only plenty of walkers, cyclists, fishermen, nature enthusiasts and birds. With a bit of luck you can enjoy the acrobatic displays of swallows in the farmyard in the early hours of the morning.
De Vrijhof lies close to beautiful cities like Amsterdam and Alkmaar. Also to the beach is only a half-hour drive.
