The Old Rectory is a house with a particular architecture that has been build in 1914 by the church. The villa is a listed building and lies on the skirts of the lovely village Malberg. From the house you have a beautiful view over the river Kyll and on the hills, the woods and the castle of Malberg. It is a wonderful place to celibrate your holiday with more people and with all the luxury you want.
The Old Rectory is suitable for 16 persons. The house has the atmosphere of days long past, where you still will find original decorations like carved doors, high ceilings, a large oak staircase and a lot of small details. The conveniences are of the 21. century so you shall want nothing.
For a short period of time you will be the lord and lady of the house for you will rent the whole place (600 m2) with the complete garden (2000 m2). After arrival you can close the gate and the grounds which are enclosed with an old wall, are yours. When you are on the grounds you immediately get the feeling you went back 100 years in time. The garden is peaceful with 100-year old trees and with a beautiful view on the hills and river.
The Old Rectory has 8 bedrooms which are all dedicated to famous books like the 'Ilias' or 'Discovery of Heaven'. There are 8 luxurious bathrooms with a shower and/or a bathtub. The wellness-area has a traditional and infra red sauna and a jacuzzi for 5-persons. There are more things to enjoy: a cinema room with cosy chairs, poolbilliards, table football and table tennis.
You rent the complete house and can enjoy everything in it as much as you like.

You can glide over the diverse landscape of the Vulcan Eifel with crater lakes, hills, fields and woods, both in the winter and the summer.

Have you ever wanted to race with your own car on the Formula 1 circuit (3.2 mi / 5.148 km) or on the long distance circuit (12.9 mi / 20.8 km)? That's possible on the Nürburgring! You can also race off-road quads or enjoy the races from the stadium around the circuit. For everybody of 12 years and above, there is an indoor karting.

In the near surroundings of Malberg, 6 golf courses can be found that each offer a different challenge. The golf courses are all located in the beautiful landscape of the Eifel, allowing the players a view over the hillsides and fascinating Moselle valley.

5 miles from Malberg lies the village Seffern where the Riverranch is settled. Here, you can rent horses for short trips in the surroundings or follow a course in Western riding. It's also possible to bring along your own horse and stable the horse with them.

On a rock plateau towers the 300 year old baroque castle over the village Malberg. There are guided tours on Saturday afternoons from April to October. Groups of minimally 15 persons can book a tour on a chosen time. Malberg is mentioned for the first time in 893 AD. There are occasional exhibits and concerts throughout the year.

Burg Eltz is one of the most beautiful and well preserved castles in Germany. It is located romantically in it's original landscape. Different counts have added parts to the original castle forming it into a real fairytale castle. It's open from April 1st to November 1st. The castle can be reached by a beautiful walk.

Fliessem was once a Gaul settlement and is the site of a big Roman villa. Villa Otrang was build in the 1st century AD. Two temples were found in 1911 that were devoted to Diana and Minerva.

The 54 acre (22 hectare) sized open air museum consists of a Hunsrück village, a Moselle village in construction, rose gardens and several farmer's gardens. There is a museum with tin figures, many small exhibitions and a restaurant. Throughout the whole year there is something to do in the museum in Konz.

In Traben Trarbach a unique collection of Buddha sculptures can be found. The world of Buddhism can be seen and listened to. The museum teaches the guests the philosophy and way of living of Buddha. It's located in an old Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) wine cellar, which is fully renovated between 2007-2009.

For children there is a wild park in the Eifelpark in Gondorf. Here you find breathtaking natural scenes and wonderful shows with e.g. birds of prey, bears, lynxes and steenbok. It is also an amusement park with roller coasters, climbing towers and a puppet show. You can look on the website for the opening times and prices. The Moselle region knows many wine parties. Even the smallest village has one. This is the opportunity for the Moselle wine lover to discover the unique atmosphere on site. Apart from the many wine displays and tastings, this is the perfect moment to meet the wine farmers. Zeer fraai pastoriehuis met een wondermooie ligging in een heel rustig dorp. De inrichting en omgeving bevat voor elk-wat-wils luieren, wandelen, fietsen langs de Kyll, filmpje in de bioscoop, sauna en jakouzi. Kortom een weekje van volledig bijkomen van de randstad.
Geweldige vakantie gehad met 15 personen. Het huis is prachtig met een schitterende kamers en goede voorzieningen. Het huis ligt op een prachtige locatie met mooi uitzicht op een kasteel. In één woord Geweldig!!

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem herrlichen Haus genossen. Es ist alles da was man braucht und die Kinder sind immer beschäftigt. Vielen Dank auch an Frau Dahm die uns herzlich begrüsst hat. Eine tolle Atmosphäre.
Wir danken euch van ganzen Herzen, dass wir den schönsten Tag unserers Lebens in diesen wunderschönen Räumen verbringen dürften!! Das “Alte Pfarrhaus” ist immer wieder eine Reise wert.
Wir waren hier mit 8 Erwachsen und 4 Kindern. Das Wochenende war sehr schön und erholsam und es ist schad, dass es so schnell vorbeigeangen ist. Im Kina kann man super Filme guchen. Für jeder war etwas dabei. Liebe Grüsse
Groot huis met mooie, grote tuin. Alle kamers met eigen badkamer. Volledig uitgeruste keuken. Op aanvraag kan een kok komen koken. Dat is gemakkelijk. In de omgeving kun je mountainbiken, hardlopen en wandelen. Malberg is een klein plaatsje met weinig tot geen voorzieningen. Dus je moet met de auto op pad naar Bitburg, Trier etc.
Weekeinde met golfvrienden. Genoeg banen in de omgeving en leuk om het kasteel in het dorp te bezoeken. Goede restaurants in de omgeving
